Jean Philippe Peynet is a French painter.
He began painting in his teenage years and gradually developed his practice over time through successive periods of exploration, maturation and renewed focus.
His work took shape between 1980 and 1992, during a formative phase of learning and research.
Between 1992 and 2002, he painted very intensively and established a personal figurative language.
Since 2013, he has devoted himself fully to painting once again, and is now opening a new creative period inspired by the spirit of Art Brut.
